Other Senior Benefits

DENTAL - VISION - HEARING

Dental, Vision, and Hearing Insurance provides additional coverage for things like fillings, extractions, cleanings, contact lenses, eyeglasses, hearing aids, and more. Many individuals are surprised to learn that Medicare does not cover routine dental, vision, or hearing exams, nor copays related to those areas. These plans are designed to encourage routine visits, provide preventative opportunities, and cover you in times of expensive and inconvenient emergencies.

Many Plans require no prior health questions or network. Plans sometimes even cover dentures, glasses, and hearing aids.

HOSPITAL INDEMNITY

Hospitalization is one of the most expensive forms of healthcare. Hospital Indemnity Insurance is a supplemental insurance plan (though not a Medicare Supplement) designed to pay for the costs of a hospital admission that may not be covered by Medicare Advantage or Medicare Supplement insurance plans.

By adding a Hospital Indemnity Plan, you can be covered for medical expenses related to hospitalization, skilled nursing rehabilitation, surgery, ambulance, and outpatient therapy services. And, in many cases, critical illness riders (i.e. cancer and heart attack/stroke) can be added as well. (See below).

Contact our team to find out more about hospitalization and medical expenses.

CANCER AND CRITICAL ILLNESS

Cancer Coverages can vary, based on a person’s work history and/or any added Medicare Advantage Plans. Because we stay up-to-date on our certifications, one of our Senior Benefits Team Members will be happy to walk you through the process of ensuring you have the coverage you desire.

Critical Illness coverage provides a lump-sum cash benefit to help cover expenses associated with a qualifying serious illness.  These plans come at a relatively low cost and can help you weather a crisis without draining your savings.

Upon approval of a claim, which is triggered by a diagnosis, there are no stipulations on how you use the benefit. As additional value add-ons, some carriers offer optional plans that cover specified diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Dementia, ALS, End-Stage Renal Failure, MS, and Coma.

In many cases, there are no stipulations on how you spend the benefit, including daily living expenses, transportation expenses getting to and from treatment centers, even taking a vacation to a restful place to recuperate with family.

Both Term and Whole Life benefits play a vital role in your long-term planning with your insurance advisor.

There is no one-size-fits-all life insurance coverage. We are happy to help you determine which coverage best suits your needs. Contact us to learn more and determine if either product is right for you and your family.

If you have questions about either program or need help signing up, please do not hesitate to contact the Madison Insurance Group Senior Benefits Team for answers!
